This must be one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam. It just feels like you are stepping into a well kept secret neighborhood bistro. Dishes are prepared to perfection, based on the classics but feeling modern. Staff is professional with loads of charm and personality. Wine-list is extensive with lots to discover. If I could live here I would.

WHAT you order determines how great your dining experience will be, i.e., not everything on the menu is uniformly amazing (of course it also depends on your palate). I ordered the fish tartare which was fine. My friend ordered the pate and it was MAGNIFICENT. I ordered fish for my main and loved it. The dessert was a pavlova type of dish and it was OK. So for me, 1 of my 3 dishes was great, 2 were meh. Also, we had a family with a screaming child seated behind us and that took away some of the vibe of the place as well. Kudos however to the owner who did a fantastic job of amusing this very obstreperous child.

Very welcoming friendly restaurant. French focus. Open kitchen. Young staff. Go for their chicken. And the typical Dutch huzarensalade is a must try. Great Belgium focused beer list.

Wanted to go here for a long time, and finally went for a birthday dinner. The staff is very welcoming and attentive, they did their best to make it a special evening. The food is belgian brasserie style, simple but very tasty. They have an extensive wine list, great for wine lovers. Would recommend the poussin/chicken, which is definitely their signature dish. We will be back!

Yup. It's good, flavourful, yes, the chicken is great ;-) and service is great, mood is well balanced (although a bit cramped). As a French myself, I feel every bit at home there. Kudos on the wine list.

Top class from start to finish Professional efficient staff Excellent food Small food menu, large wine menu An Old school that has been fitted out. Highly recommended For a soup. Round spoon or dessert spoon :-) English would go round.

Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Staff: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price: €€€ Came here last minute and no reservation. But still they accepted us as we are only 2. And informed us that they can only serve the spring chicken. So we took it with fries and salad! Surprisingly, the spring chicken is so delicious! Really really delicious! We partnered it with a great wine too. In general, I’ll be back here once I’m back in Amsterdam. Great service too!
